Big changes are coming to healthcare in Wichita Falls. United Regional Health Care System has finalized a deal to purchase the property where Kell West Regional Hospital currently operates. With Kell West ceasing operations, United Regional officials say their goal is to make sure there’s no gap in healthcare services for residents. Founded in 1997, United Regional has served the Wichita Falls community for decades with a mission to provide high-quality, comprehensive care. The decision to purchase the Kell West property came after the hospital announced plans to shut down.
